 This year’s Culture Night, on September 23rd, will see venues all over the country open their doors, late into the night. From music to the arts, to comedy, fashion, and literature, entertainment lovers are in for a real treat as more than 1,000 live events are planned. Cork City’s Culture Night Programme has an astonishing array of events which will appear in online listings and printed fliers around the city over the next weeks.

MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL: THE STORY OF THE BROADWAY SPECTACULAR is a glittering backstage pass to the Tony Award-winning musical, with contributions from cast and crew, interviews with creator Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin, and a chronicle of its triumphant 2021 return to the Great White Way.

Acclaimed Irish actor Gabriel Byrne's solo show Walking with Ghosts, joins the Edinburgh International Festival programme as a UK premiere from 24 to 28 August in this, the Festival's 75th anniversary year. From the award-winning Landmark Productions, Byrne's solo performance follows his childhood in Dublin through to his major Hollywood career in seven performances at the Kings Theatre.

Kacey Musgraves has shared her rendition of 'Can't Help Falling in Love' from the ELVIS Original Motion Picture Soundtrack via House of Iona/RCA Records. This latest release follows Doja Cat’s melodic single “Vegas” and Swae Lee & Diplo's “Tupelo Shuffle” featuring Gary Clark Jr. The track was released with a new music video featuring film footage.

Swae Lee & Diplo drop new single “Tupelo Shuffle” featuring Gary Clark Jr. (who plays Arthur “Big Boy” Crudup in the film) and Austin Butler (who give voice to Elvis Presley on the track and plays him in the film) from the ELVIS Original Motion Picture Soundtrack via House of Iona/RCA Records.

Nancy Manocherian's the cell theatre will present the premiere of THE FINAL VEIL, a unique blend of theater, opera and dance. It tells the true story of Franceska Mann, a Polish-Jewish dancer who demonstrated resistance and strength amid the horrors of the Holocaust.

It has also been announced that Kacey Musgraves will sing 'Can't Help Falling In Love' and Maneskin will sing “If I Can Dream.” The soundtrack will also feature Eminem, Tame Impala, Stevie Nicks, Jack White, Cee Lo Green, Gary Clark Jr., Paravi, Pnau, Yola, Swae Lee, Diplo, and Jazmine Sullivan.

RCA Records drops Doja Cat’s melodic, bouncy new single “Vegas” from the ELVIS Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. The soundtrack is set to be released the same date as Baz Luhrmann’s forthcoming film ELVIS, starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks. The track incorporates “Hound Dog” in a unique, singular way that only Doja Cat could ever do.

ELVIS is an epic spectacle from filmmaker Baz Luhrmann that explores the life and music of Elvis Presley (Austin Butler) through the prism of his relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks). The soundtrack features Elvis’s body of work spanning the 1950s, 60s and 70s, while also celebrating his diverse musical influences.

The Dallas Opera’s premiere production of Jonathan Dove’s Flight beautifully captures these happenstance experiences in all their simplicity, magic, humor, and heartbreak, reminding us that we are at our most human when we find ourselves at our most vulnerable.

The film explores the life and music of Elvis Presley (Butler), seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Hanks). The cast also includes Richard Roxburgh, Hellen Thomson, Natasha Bassett, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Zavier Samuel, and Jodi Smit-McPhee.

The Dallas Opera has secured the cabin and announced takeoff for Flight, the opera based on the real-life story that also inspired Steven Spielberg's The Terminal. The Dallas premiere of Jonathan Dove and April De Angelis' contemporary masterpiece opens at the Winspear Opera House on Friday, March 4, 2022.

Opera Colorado announces its 2022-23 Season, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the company’s inception in 1983.

As previously announced, Baz Luhrmann has cast Austin Butler as Elvis Presley in the film. Joining Butler and Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks as Colonel Tom Parker are Olivia DeJonge, Gary Clark, Jr., Yola, Lenesha Randolph, Jordan Holland, Shonka Dukureh, Shannon Sanders, Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Alton Mason.
