A new play exploring the life and poetry of America’s first published Black poet Phillis Wheatley, Written by Phillis is presented in association with Chicago’s New Classics Collective, opens tonight, May 13. Jay Españo will direct this comedy-drama by the author of the Judy Garland bio-play END OF THE RAINBOW, which was adapted as the Academy Award-winning film JUDY. In 4000 DAYS, Michael awakens from a three week-long coma that has affected his memory. He struggles to find the way back to his true self as a tug of war ensues between his pragmatic partner Paul and overbearing mother Carol.

Invictus Theatre Company today announced the cast and production team for its live virtual production of Marsha Norman's drama, 'NIGHT, MOTHER, winner of 1983's Pulitzer Prize for drama.

Next up on The Players Club of Swarthmore's Mainstage is Noel Coward's (Private Lives, Design For Living, Present Laughter, Blithe Spirit) enduring comedy farce, Hay Fever. The play is set in the English country house of the Bliss family in the 1920's. Their plans of a quiet weekend with invited guests come to an exhausting and hilarious finale.
