Pilar Andújar began her dance training at the early age of seven and holds degrees in Spanish Dance, Flamenco and Ballet, as well as a Master of Performing Arts. She started singing in 2002 with the Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana Company at the Joyce Theater in New York, NY - USA.

Battery Dance celebrates the 40th Anniversary of its free summer festival from August 12-20, 2021, in partnership with Battery Park City Authority. The President and Artistic Director of the Festival is Jonathan Hollander.

The NY Dance and Performance Awards, The Bessies, New York City's premier dance awards honoring outstanding creative work in the field, celebrates a landmark 35th anniversary this year. Today, the nominees for the 2019 Bessie Awards, along with the recipients of the 2019 Juried Bessie Award and 2019 Outstanding Breakout Choreographer Award, were announced and celebrated at the Bessies press conference. ENCUENTRO NYC Colombian Music Festival, founded by musicians Pablo Mayor and Anna Povich de Mayor is back with Encuentro Underground- Roots, Part 1: An exploration into the Spanish roots of Colombian music, Saturday, November 17, 7pm and 9pm.  Celebrating its 14th anniversary, the Festival has found a new home in ID Studio, one of NYC's newest and most vibrant artistic centers in the South Bronx (311 E. 140th St., two blocks from the 6 train). This concert is also part of Latin American Culture Week.

The Ballet Hispanico School of Dance offers adult dance and fitness classes that will keep you moving, fit, and energized.
