Urban Stages Extends BLIZZARD THE WIZARD Thru 3/8

Urban Stages (Frances Hill, Founder/Artistic Director, Lauren Schmiedel, Managing Director) is proud to extend a great show for the entire family, Blizzard the Wizard starring storyteller Dan Kitrosser. Blizzard the Wizard is written by Dan Kitrosser and Andrew Davies. Urban Stages is located at 259 West 30 Street (between 7th and 8th Avenues). Urban Stages Honors Founder/Artistic Director Frances Hill

Urban Stages' and Board of Trustees (Board President, Mary Churchill), Celebrating 25 Years, will honor the founder and artistic director of Urban Stages, Frances Hill with a benefit luncheon on Tuesday, February 10 at the Yale Club (50 Vanderbilt Avenue). Ms. Hill is being honored by the board as well as with a Mayoral Proclamation because of her inspiring leadership in the arts and her unwavering commitment to the understanding of diverse cultures. The event co-chairs are Marjorie Federbush and Ted Terry. Tickets are tax-deductible and range from $125 - $1500 (table) and can be purchased by calling 212 421 1380.

South Ark Stage Presents World Premiere of Kesselman's THE BLACK MONK with Austin Pendleton

South Ark Stage (Rhoda Herrick, Producing Artistic Director) has announced that it will present the world premiere of the new chamber musical The Black Monk, with book, lyrics and music by Wendy Kesselman. Under the direction of Kevin Newbury, the four-member cast features Austin Pendleton as the Monk, Scott Robertson as Igor, Elon Rutberg as Andrei, and Sarah Ziegler as Tanya.

Edgerton Theatre Announces Recipients Of 2008 Awards

The Edgerton Foundation has announced their selected plays for 2008. The plays listed below are funded by the Edgerton Foundation's New American Play Awards. Since 2006, this funding program has provided over twenty TCG member theatres with financial resources to increase rehearsal time with the full production team onsite at the theatre.
