It’s game time. Celebrated Philadelphia playwright Bruce Graham brings an updated version of his wildly popular The Philly Fan to Hedgerow Theatre–with a catch. With this production, Graham steps off the page and onto the stage in the title role for the first time. 

JoBeth Williams (“Poltergeist,” “The Big Chill”) and Peter Strauss (“Rich Man, Poor Man,” “The Jericho Mile”) star in the romantic Love Among the Ruins, written by James G. Hirsch and Robert A. Papazian, from a film script by James Costigan. Love Among the Ruins is a Papazian Hirsch presentation  and is directed by Michael Arabian.

The American Association of Community Theatre (AACT) has announced AACTFest 2023, the National Community Theatre Festival, will be held in Louisville, Kentucky, June 12 – 17, 2023.

This is a morally complex piece of theater, and luckily the cast is up to the challenge of bringing these people to life without judgment or any trace of hesitation. The language, the situations, the truths, are all difficult matters that have to be handled directly and confidently.

After announcing this year’s list of Carbonell Award nominations last Friday, the organization quickly realized that clarifications and additions were necessary. This invariably happens with any complicated, first-time process, so the nonprofit organization ordered a recalculation of the scores in all 20 categories.
