Tim Firth and Gary Barlow's Calendar Girls the Musical will reveal all when it comes to Birmingham Hippodrome for the very first time from Tuesday 28 May -Saturday 8 June 2019.

Possum Point Players have set a deadline of Friday, May 31, for applications to direct any of the five mainstage shows of the 2020 season. There are two application forms for potential directors, one for those who have directed shows at PPP before, and one for those seeking to be a first-time director with the players. Application forms may be downloaded from the PPP website, www.possumpointplayers.org., or obtained from Donna de Kuyper, Director Selection and Director Liaison Chair for Possum Point Players. The Warner Theatre has announced its 2019-2020 Warner Stage Company season! The season features 5 musicals on the Main Stage and 5 productions, including the 8th Annual International Playwrights Festival, in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre. The 2019-2020 Warner Stage Company Season is presented by Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. The Main Stage season opens in November 2019 with THE FUNNIEST MUSICAL COMEDY IN AT LEAST 400 YEARS TO BE ANNOUNCED JUNE 1 and follows with JEKYLL & HYDE THE MUSICAL, Mel Brooks' THE PRODUCERS and Roald Dahl's MATILDA THE MUSICAL.

With a cast led by Hugo Weaving, Tennessee Williams' Pulitzer Prize winner A CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF is given a 21st century makeover by Director Kip Williams. 

Onassis USA is pleased to announce thatcelebrated artist Kostis Velonis's large-scale sculptural work Life Without Tragedy has now been installed on Governors Island, where it will remain on view, free of charge, today through October 31, 2019. Life Without Tragedy, developed with architect Christian Kotzamanisand initially created for the acclaimed Onassis Festival 2019: Democracy Is Coming (during which it could be seen on Astor Place, April 10-30, free of charge), explores the intersection of democracy and theater-perhaps Greece's two greatest contributions. The work consists of three wood sculptures that mimic an ancient Greek amphitheater, a place that was a social institution and a site for political discourse as well as a venue for art. 

Oceanside Theatre Company (OTC) the resident professional theatre company at The Brooks finishes their 2018/29 Season with MAN OF LA MANCHA from May 3-26, 2019. Performances are Saturdays and Sundays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:00pm.

Dallas Summer Musicals presents the Dallas engagement of the Tony Award-nominated Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof at the historic Music Hall at Fair Park from Aug. 7 to Aug. 18.  The tour will launch October 17, 2018 in Syracuse, New York at Landmark Theatre.

Viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look at the 'Friends & Heroes 2019' tour as country music superstar Blake Shelton joins David and Howard Bellamy on their hit reality series 'Honky Tonk Ranch' this weekend. Blake Shelton's episode of 'Honky Tonk Ranch' will air this Sunday at 8:30 p.m. ET on the The Cowboy Channel.

The fifth play of Ross Valley Players 89th season is Incidents in the Wicked Life of Moll Flanders...adapted from Daniel Defoe's 1722 novel, written by Jennifer Le Blanc and directed by Ellen Brooks. A bawdy story about a poor damsel in distress who surrenders her virtue again and again (and again) to get to the top of society, Moll Flanders is one of the most memorable heroines in the canon.

Theatre production company Parity Productions has released its monthly list of Qualifying Productions for May -their popular directory of New York City shows in which the individual creative teams have 50% of the positions filled with women and/or trans and gender nonconforming (TGNC) artists (directors, designers, and playwrights).

Lucy Kirkwood's aptly titled THE CHILDREN, now in its Chicago premiere at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, poses thought-provoking questions about the responsibilities that humankind has to future generations. Kirkwood's intentionally crafted play filters these broad themes through the specific narrative of her three characters, all nuclear scientists. The larger repercussions of the characters' careerss means that Kirkwood can dive into the meaty content of the play with both a particular emotional arc and also with a universality that should resonate with all audience members. Because of this, THE CHILDREN comes across as rather pointed in certain moments, but the weight of the issues that Kirkwood presents allows it to resonate deeply.
