On Friday, May 31st, I had the pleasure of seeing the phenomenal musical WE WILL ROCK YOU at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport, CT. This is neither a tribute concert to Queen nor a biography of their lives. Rather, the concept is similar to Mamma Mia! in that the show is a fictional story built around the music of one specific music group, in this case, Queen. Playwright Ben Elton, however, has written a storyline that digs much deeper. Director Andrea Pane, with Assistant Director Carly Jurman, Musical Director Mark Ceppetelli, and Choreographer Olivia Rivera bring out the best in this first-rate cast!

The hit West End production TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL which is based on the life of legendary artist Tina Turner and was produced in association with Tina Turner herself, has announced new principal cast members joining the musical.

Denise Van Outen has announced she will celebrate the 10 year anniversary of her one woman play, featuring music from the 80’s and 90’s, Some Girl I Used to Know, with two special performances at Southend Palace Theatre on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th September 2024. 

Ballet dancer, choreographer, author, pop star, content creator: James Whiteside does it all. Formerly with Boston Ballet, Whiteside was named Principal Dancer with American Ballet Theatre in 2013, and hasn’t slowed down since. A prolific standout in the company, synonymous with roles like Solor in La Bayadère and the Prince in Ashton’s Cinderella, Whiteside has become just as dazzling a choreographer, with exciting projects around every corner.

GRAMMY-nominated global artist Matt B has revealed the details of his forthcoming EP AMANZI, out June 21st via Vitae Records. Birmingham Hippodrome has announced a line-up of new productions including brand-new festive family musical The Jingleclaw, the first new musical to be produced by the Hippodrome. A stellar line up of West End and Broadway smash-hit musicals including & Juliet, Chitty Chitty Bang and Only Fools and Horses – The Musical will also come to the theatre in 2025.
