If you like the idea of “Throwback Thursday,” dedicating a day of the week to remember and revisit the past, Birdland can really “make your day” any Thursday with The High Society New Orleans Jazz Band. Choices from early 20th century popular music populate the set list each Thursday with the grand High Society New Orleans Jazz Band at Birdland. What a treat!

Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater have announced programming running March 11th - March 24th. Performers appearing at Birdland Jazz Club include Maria Schneider Orchestra, Emilio Solla & La Inestable de Brooklyn, Christian Sands Trio, and Canadian Jazz Collective.

Highly acclaimed vocalist Steven Maglio performs his new Sinatra By Request dinner show at The Beach Cafe in Manhattan, every Sunday evening following dinner at 7:15pm with show beginning at 8:30pm.

Steven Maglio is having a great time and so are his audiences. The most common compliment paid to Maglio according to his web-site is, If Frank Sinatra heard the way you sing his songs he'd be proud. Steve goes on to state that he hopes that's true 'cause I'm having a great time.'

The 7th Annual Bickford Benefit Concert featuring the Bickford Benefit All Stars comes to the Bickford Theatre at the Morris Museum for one night only on Monday, November 13, at 7:30 PM. The all-star ensemble, comprised of some of the best hot jazz players in the country, includes clarinetist Dan Levinson, trumpeter Mike Davis, trombonist Jim Fryer, pianist Jeff Barnhart, bassist Brian Nalepka, drummer St phane S va, and guitarist/singer Molly Ryan. All of the ticket sales from this concert will go to support programming at the Bickford Theatre.

Michael Nigro from NBC's THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE! sings tonight, Monday, April 6 at 7pm in Yonkers, NY at the Riverfront Library, 1 Larkin Center, as part of the 12th Annual Broadway Comes to Yonkers to benefit Youth Theater Interactions (YTI).

Following the success of the previous two festivals, the 3rd Annual New York Hot Jazz Festival -- produced by the impresario Michael 'Misha' Katsobashvili, performer Bria Skonberg, and composer/producer Patrick Soluri (of Prohibition Productions and The Salon) -- returns to The Players this year and promises some of the biggest stars of the Hot Jazz and swing scenes in a summit of uptown and downtown talent spanning three generations.
