IN MY FATHER’S HOUSE, A play by Jacalyn Kane, is coming to Teatro Paraguas, 3205 Calle Marie, Santa Fe. Performances run October 3-20, 2024.

Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater have announced all jazz programming running April 29th - May 12th.

Sondheim is everywhere. Since the start of 2024, I have seen two on Broadway (Merrily We Roll Along; Sweeney Todd), one Off-Broadway (Here We Are, the play he was working on when he passed away in 2021) one just last week in Albuquerque (Into the Woods) and last night in Santa Fe, A Little Night Music.

Santa Fe Playhouse (SFP) presents a script-in-hand benefit reading of JAMMED. Written and directed by Golden Globe nominee Joan Tewkesbury (Nashville), starring Oscar nominee Ali MacGraw (Love Story - Best Actress Oscar Nominee; Love Letters - National Tour) and Brooke Palance (Empire of the Ants, The Four Deuces, The Clairvoyant).

The Winter Park Playhouse announces the winning selections for the 5th Annual Florida Festival of New Musicals. This popular festival, which showcases new musical theatre works, is one of very few in the nation and the only one of its kind in the Southeastern region.

The New Mexico Actors Lab announced today that they have received a matching grant for their August production of The Cradle Will Rock. This grant - provided by four anonymous donors - totals a fund of $12,500 that will match dollar-for-dollar any other donations they receive for The Cradle Will Rock up to the $25,000 budgeted for this show.

As exercises in empathy, there are few activities that beat theatre. Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus' global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA!, inspired by the songs of ABBA, will now end its historic, record-breaking run on Broadway on Saturday, September 12, 2015, following 5,773 performances. (September 5 was the previously-announced closing date.)
