It’s great when a higher institution can educate the audience, and that is what happened for me when I went to Arkansas State University Beebe’s Theatre Department production of THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN. Though I am familiar with the story of the Titanic, I have never seen this musical and was intrigued to see what this group of scholars have done. With Book by Henry Richard Morris, Music and Lyrics by Meredith Willson, and Directed by Ryan Gibbons, these actors told the story of Mrs. Brown from her humble beginnings with her brothers and pa to her time with royalty and beyond.

A new promo for Wonka has been released, featuring a first listen to Timothée Chalamet singing 'Pure Imagination.' While 'Pure Imagination' is from the original Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory film, Neil Hannon, Simon Farnaby and Paul King have written new songs for the film. Hear Chalamet sing the classic song in a new video!

Halle Bailey has co-written a new song for the upcoming movie musical adaptation of The Color Purple. The song, titled 'Keep It Movin',' is sung by Bailey as Nettie in the film, along with Phylicia Pearl Mpasi, who plays young Celie. The Little Mermaid star worked on the song with Denisia Andrews, Brittany Coney and Morten Ristorp.
