The nominees for the 49th Annual JUNO Awards were announced today by The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) at a press conference attended by media and industry notables at the Canadian Broadcasting Centre (CBC), in downtown Toronto. JUNO Week 2020, hosted in Saskatoon, SK, will culminate with Canada's biggest night in music - The 2020 JUNO Awards - broadcast live from the SaskTel Centre on Sunday, March 15 on CBC, CBC Gem, CBC Radio One, CBC Music, the CBC Listen app and globally at cbcmusic.ca/junos.

Atlanta-based pop rock trio Safety Net have released their new single 'How Does It Feel,' available on all digital platforms NOW. Perfectly suited for fans of Avril Lavigne, Yellowcard, and Boys Like Girls, 'How Does It Feel' perfectly represents the bands aura - a little bit of pop and a little bit of punk. You can't place Safety Net in a single box; their sound spans across a wide board, but still maintains focus. With 'How Does It Feel,' Safety Net treads new waters - although the song kicks off with a single acoustic guitar and vocal, the authentic and emotive build throughout the first chorus is well worth the short wait. The 2019 MTV EMA nominations are finally here and the competition is hot! Ariana Grande is once again a top contender with nods in a whopping 7 categories (7 nominations? '7 Rings'? This might be her lucky number!). We also have some new faces leading the nominations this year: Lil Nas X and Billie Eilish. These two did not come to play at their first EMAs, each with 6 nominations. Mendes Army, fear not: seasoned EMA veteran Shawn Mendes is right up there with them, also having 6 nominations!
Avril Lavigne to Tour for the First Time in Five Years

Parx Casino®, Pennsylvania's #1 casino, announces Avril Lavigne will bring her “Head Above Water” tour to the Philadelphia region on Friday, October 11, 2019. The performances will take place in the Xcite Center with doors opening at 7:00pm and showtime at 8:00pm. This show is the first time the “Sk8er Boi” and “Complicated” singer will perform in Bucks County. Lavigne joins the growing “A-list” roster of entertainers who will take the stage at Parx this year, including Reba McIntire, Wayne Brady, Jay Leno, Foreigner, Sinbad, Leeann Rimes, Toby Keith and many others. Tickets are $60-100 each and are on sale now. One dollar from each ticket will be donated to The Avril Lavigne Foundation.
