Avery Sommers To Return To Café Centro in April

Following her recent sold-out concert at Café Centro, Broadway and Cabaret Star Avery Sommers will return for another solo performance in April, once again produced by legendary pianist Copeland Davis.

 For her first solo concert in more than a year, Avery Sommers, one of South Florida’s most beloved entertainers and favorite singers is returning for an intimate and deliciously triumphant performance at Café Centro, located at 2409 N. Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach.

The Palm Beach Institute for the Entertainment Arts Presents OPEN AUDITIONS

The Palm Beach Institute for the Entertainment Arts will present a unique concept in live theater titled OPEN AUDITIONS. The evening of 10 short scripts will feature seven of the Institute's repertory members in scenes they will not have seen or rehearsed before stepping onto the stage.

CARBONELL AWARDS Previews Ceremony At Lauderhill Performing Arts Center Next Month

For its first in-person ceremony since April 2019, the Carbonell Awards—South Florida's Theater & Arts Honors—promises “a truly joyous celebration packed with music, laughter and applause as we recognize talented members of our theater community for shows produced in Broward, Miami/Dade and Palm Beach Counties during the 2021-2022 season,” according to Carbonell Board President Gary Schweikhart.

Jazz/Pop pianist Copeland Davis began his residency at Cafe Centro last night and the evening took an exciting turn as a slew of soul singers in the audience joined for his opening night.  Copeland is a favorite of Dick Robinson’s Legends Radio and Taylor Morgan “Legends Afternoons with Taylor” host was in the house for some of the introductions.
