The Emelin Theatre for the Performing Arts has announced the third season of its popular Summer Concert series featuring two family-friendly events. The public is invited to join with friends and family to picnic on the grass in Harbor Island Park while listening and dancing to great music as the moon rises over the LI Sound.

AT THIS PERFORMANCE…  returns to The Green Room 42 featuring Standbys, Understudies and Alternates from SIX THE MUSICAL; PARADE; CAMELOT; THE BOOK OF MORMON; HADESTOWN and MILLENNIALS ARE KILLING MUSICALS.

Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, in collaboration with the University of Delaware Master Players Concert Series, will present the World Premiere of SHANGHAI SONATAS: A NEW MUSICAL IN CONCERT, from Thursday, March 16 to Saturday, March 18, 2023, in The Wallis' Bram Goldsmith Theater.

The Green Room 42 has announced its November line-up for in-person cabaret performances. The lineup will feature James Jackson, Jr., Jon-Michael Reese, Natalie Joy Johnson, and more.

Memor NYC, Inc. will present a development reading of Shanghai Sonatas, a new musical with music by Sean (Xiang) Gao, lyrics by Joyce Hill Stoner and book by Alan Goodson. Chongren Fan will direct the by-invitation only development reading on Friday, October 28 at 3PM at Theater 555.

The Front Porch Arts Collective partners with the Lyric Stage Company to start their second season with BREATH & IMAGINATION, Daniel Beaty's musical about Roland Hayes. First-time director Maurice Emmanuel Parent draws tour de force performance from Davron S. Monroe as the acclaimed African-American opera singer, with strong support from Yewande Odetoyinbo, Doug Gerber, and Nile Scott Hawver.

New Repertory Theatre presents So Deep is the Night: An Evening of Song with Ute Gfrerer, a cabaret-style concert for one night only, Monday, October 29, 2018 at 7:30pm. Gfrerer will be accompanied by Asher Denburg (piano) and Caitlin Thomas (cello). The special event takes place on the mainstage at the Mosesian Center for the Arts located at 321 Arsenal Street in Watertown, MA. Gloucester Stage Company opens its 39th season of professional theater on May 11 with the world premiere of Madame Defarge, Wendy Kesselman's new musical inspired by Charles Dicken's classic A Tale of Two Cities. The world premiere musical runs from May 11 through June 2 at Gloucester Stage Company, 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. A passionate re-imagining of Dickens' infamous Madame Defarge illuminates this new musical by Wendy Kesselman.

Bill Hanney's award winning Theatre By The Sea (TBTS) is set to make its own kind of music with BEEHIVE The '60s Musical, the ultimate celebration of 1960's female empowerment.
