Yesterday, Dear Evan Hansen celebrated two years on Broadway by donating to the Smithsonian on stage. The cast and creative team were joined by Smithsonian Institution representatives, Catherine Eagleton, Associate Director of Curatorial Affairs and Ryan Lintelman, Curator of Entertainment History.

Dear Evan Hansen producer Stacey Mindich has just announced today that Andrew Barth Feldman, the 16-year-old winner of the Best Actor Award at the 2018 National High School Musical Theatre Awards (known more commonly as the Jimmy Awards), will make his Broadway debut as 'Evan Hansen' on January 30, 2019. Feldman - who is currently a high school junior at Lawrence Woodmere Academy in Woodmere, New York - takes over the role from Taylor Trensch, who plays his final performance on January 27, 2019 after a year in the title role. Original Broadway cast member Michael Lee Brown will continue his run as the 'Evan' alternate.

Get excited, Fansens! DEAR EVAN HANSEN' has just announced that a deluxe album will drop on October 19. Dive into the show's rich history-hear previously unreleased songs sung by the current Broadway cast, along with all of the tracks on the original Grammy Award-Winning cast album.

Get excited, Fansens! Tomorrow, September 25, Dear Evan Hansen will release a cut song -'Part Of Me'. The song, which originally closed Act 1 in place of 'You Will Be Found,' was eliminated following the show's out-of-town tryout at Arena Stage.

Last week, the Ohio Artists Gathering celebrated the finale of its inaugural year with presentations of two original shows. The first, Summer of '63 written by York Walker (LA), directed by Alan Bomar Jones (Dayton), and featuring Kendra Lucas (CBus), Shanelle Marie (CBus), Tobie Windham (LA), Asher Grodman (NYC), Lateefah Holder (LA), Taylor Moss (CBus), and John Stewart (NYC). The second, Cubicle Farm written and directed by Broadway actor Asa Somers and featuring Broadway actor Mike Faist. The continued support of the public made this event possible and we thank all of our donors and supporters for everything they have done. Amazing success! On Thursday, August 30th Short North Stage held an open rehearsal for a one man show called Cubicle Farm written by Broadway actor Asa Somers and performed by Tony Nominee and Broadway actor Mike Faist. The Ohio Artists Gathering welcomed the general public into a short viewing of their rehearsal process as they worked through the problematic parts of the script and overcame any physical or emotional barriers that presented themselves. The audience was extremely engaged in what was happening and took plenty of time afterwards to ask questions about the writing the rehearsal process of the piece up until that point. Asa and Mike talked about their background as actors and how they came to meet and begin work on Cubicle Farm. On Friday, August 31st, we will be welcoming Asa and Mike back to Short North Stage for a final presentation of their production. Broadway veteran Lisa Brescia will join the company of the Tony Award-winning musical as 'Heidi Hansen,' marking her return to Broadway after more than a decade. Brescia begins performances today, August 7, 2018 succeeding Rachel Bay Jones, who plays her final performance on August 5, 2018.

To a rousing ovation, the cast of the Tony Award®-winning Best Musical Dear Evan Hansen performed a curtain call tribute in honor of the patriotic song "God Bless America," which this year is celebrating its 100th Anniversary, on the eve of Mr. Berlin's 130th birthday. Dear Evan Hansen is playing on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre which was built by Mr. Berlin and his business partner Sam H. Harris and opened in 1921 to house his famed Music Box Revues.  The Shubert Organization currently owns and operates the Music Box.

Taylor Trensch, currently starring on Broadway in Hello, Dolly!, will star as the title character in the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Dear Evan Hansen, beginning mid-January 2018, following his run in Hello, Dolly!. Noah Galvin, fresh off the starring role in ABC's 'The Real O'Neals,' will play the role of Evan Hansen, beginning November 21, 2017 until Trensch begins performances on Broadway in mid-January. Producer Stacey Mindich has just announced that Dear Evan Hansen, the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, has recouped its production costs in just 8.5 months on Broadway. Capitalized at $9.5 million, Dear Evan Hansen opened at the Music Box Theatre to rave reviews on December 4, 2016, where it's broken all box office records and been playing to standing-room-only crowds since.
