Luna Stage will present the World Premiere of RIFT or White Lies by Gabriel Jason Dean, directed by Ari Laura Kreith,  February 8-March 3, 2024.

TRICH, written and performed by Becca Schneider, is coming to Luna Stage. This smart, funny play explores Schneider's journey with trichotillomania, a disorder in the OCD family.

Luna Stage has announced the World Premiere of Two Elizas, which will appear on Luna's MainStage for a two-week run May 4-14.

Luna Stage has announced Opening Doors, a new initiative to provide artists in the Valley Neighborhood with cost-free access to the professional theatre's spaces, resources, and staff. The program is sponsored by Valley National Bank.

Luna Stage will reopen its MainStage with Bernardo Cubría's comedy The Giant Void In My Soul, directed by Rajesh Bose and starring Jesse Castellanos, Darin F. Earl II, John P. Keller and Valerie Terranova.

In response to Essex County's current high COVID numbers, Luna Stage has made the decision to reschedule its in-person production of #RIFT Part 2: The Live Experience by Gabriel Jason Dean. Originally slated for February, #RIFT Part 2 will now take place in April. In January and February, Luna will launch additional cycles of #RIFT Part 1: A Play Over Text Message. Audience members can sign up for this free virtual experience at www.lunastage.org/rift.

 Luna Stage will launch its in-person 2021-2022 Season with The Frontera Project, co-conceived by Ramón Verdugo and Jessica Bauman, performing October 7- October 16 at multiple outdoor locations in Essex County including Montclair's Lackawanna Plaza (Oct 7-Oct 10) and Luna Stage's tented outdoor space in West Orange (Oct 14-Oct 16).

Luna Stage has received a $28,000 grant from the Orange Orphan Society to support its Pay-What-You-Wish Kids Theatre Camp and Teen Collaborator Intensive, and to install a new Green Screen Studio for use by both programs. The camps will run July 6th - July 30th, and will take place outdoors

Luna Stage premieres The Vaccine Monologues, a virtual gallery of theatrical moments inspired by Covid immunization. Playwrights, physicians, activists, and actors share stories real and imagined, reflecting on experiences with the 'Fauci ouchie,' or the shot that can change it all.

#RIFT by Gabriel Jason Dean launches this Friday, April 9 at Luna Stage. Part One of the play will be delivered to subscribers' phones over text message over the next eight weeks. Sign-ups will be accepted through April 23, but capacity is limited. Reservations are required, and are available at lunastage.org.

Luna Stage has been awarded a $20,000 grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts to support COVID-safe re-opening, including the return of in-person summer youth programs. First up is the Teen Collaborator Intensive, a four-week theatre, filmmaking and playwriting program using both outdoor space and Luna's new flexible Green Screen studio. Additional programs for younger students will be announced soon. Virtual and hybrid options will also be available.

Luna Stage has commissioned perhaps the world's first Zoom Purim Spiel, written by playwright Jenny Lyn Bader. Luna is thrilled to make this play available for performance by any and all who want to celebrate Purim in this time of social distancing. The Whole Megillah: A Purim Spiel for Grown Ups features juicy roles for eight actors and a fun party atmosphere for audiences.

West Orange-based professional theatre Luna Stage is now enrolling for virtual winter classes for youth and adults, including scene study, on-camera acting, voiceover, screenwriting, musical theatre, audition technique, playwriting, improv and more.

The ambitious and multifaceted Voting Writes Project at Luna Stage culminates with a final week of streaming the program's diverse, interdisciplinary content.
