Hebe Camargo was a Brazilian television host, singer and actress. From humble childhood in Taubat , a small town in Sao Paulo, to the position of 'Queen of Brazilian Television', Hebe Camargo wins a musical, based on the biography written by Artur Xexeo and directed by Miguel Falabella, who tells of her professional climbing and the loves that have gone on for her life. She died at her home on September, 2012. Her net worth was over US$360 million. Surrounded by the songs that defined her career as a singer, the show goes through eight decades in which, the paths of Hebe and television history in Brazil are blended. (more...)

AMC announced today from the Television Critics Association (TCA) Press Tour the network's 2016 spring premiere dates for new and returning original series. For the first time ever, AMC will launch a fourth night of original programming on Tuesdays beginning this April with the debut of the highly anticipated miniseries event “The Night Manager.” Last year, AMC became home to the top four cable series launches of all time among adults 18-49 in live+3 ratings, with “Fear the Walking Dead” at #1, “Better Call Saul” at #2, “Into the Badlands” at #3 and “The Walking Dead” at #4. Carlo Rizzi is ready to enter an exciting period of work in the New Year. The conductor's 2015/16 season continues in January with a return to the Lyric Opera of Chicago for Matthew Ozawa's new production of Verdi's Nabucco. He heads to Milan the following month to begin rehearsals for Teatro alla Scala's eagerly awaited staging of Umberto Giordano's La cena delle beffe, an opera not seen at La Scala for eight decades. Rizzi's rich schedule also includes the world premiere of Iain Bell's In Parenthesis and the double-bill of Cavalleria rusticana and Pagliacci, staged to celebrate the 70th birthday of Welsh National Opera (WNO). Concrete Timbre (www.ConcreteTimbre.com) is a composer-driven performance collective which aims to add bold interdisciplinary performances to the contemporary music canon by creating opportunities for composers to work in multidisciplinary settings that often defy categorization. The group's '4 Wars' by Mark Farnen, directed by Ann Warren, is an interdisciplinary exploration of the universal themes that exist amongst four different stories from four different countries, showing a progression of people struggling to create social change in the year 1968 in the face of unrest. The world premiere will be presented by Theater for the New City's Dream Up Festival September 13 to 20. (more...)
