To commemorate the reopening of one of the most storied venues in theatrical history, Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) just shared a collection of reflections and anecdotes from Broadway and Hollywood personalities that celebrate the history of Boston's historic Emerson Colonial Theatre. Following a refurbishment by ATG over the past two years, the theatre reopened last night with the first preview performance of the pre-Broadway world premiere engagement of Moulin Rouge! The Musical.

CATS Will Return To Chicago in July 2019

Broadway In Chicago has announced that the national tour of CATS, the record-breaking musical spectacular by Andrew Lloyd Webber that has captivated audiences in over 30 countries and 15 languages, will play Broadway In Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 W. Randolph) for a limited engagement July 16 through August 4, 2019. CATS will be part of Broadway In Chicago's upcoming season. Subscriptions will go on sale in the fall of 2018.

HAMILTON Announces Lottery for Cleveland Run

Producer Jeffrey Seller and Playhouse Square announce a digital lottery for HAMILTON tickets will begin in conjunction with the show's first performance (July 17) in Cleveland at Playhouse Square. Thirty-Seven (37) orchestra tickets will be sold for every performance for $10 each. The digital lottery will open at 11:00 AM ET on Sunday, July 15 for tickets to the Tuesday, July 17 performance. Subsequent digital lotteries will begin two days prior to each performance.

A brand-new dance narrative Alexa is coming alive at Inwood Art Works' Culture Hub on Friday, June 29th at 9pm, at 440 W. 202nd Street in Northern Manhattan. Alexa , a site-specific show based on the Amazon device, closes out the month-long programming at Culture Hub, a pop-up community arts center that is part of a vacant space activation program by Inwood Art Works. The Culture Hub is 'Inwood's Creative Space' for the entire month of June, with the hope to eventually create a permanent space for arts and culture in the Inwood community.

The stage is being set for the Jellicle Ball! According to The Stage,  the Royal Ballet's resident choreographer, Wayne McGregor, has signed on to choreograph Tom Hooper's big screen adaptation of Cats. Filming is set to begin in London this November. Casting is now underway.
