The World Premiere Of GALAHAD AND THE DRAGONS to Be Presented as Part Of HERE's Summer Sublet Series

Arif Silverman and Lillian Wooten White are thrilled to present Galahad and the Dragons, a fantastical solo show for adults, as part of HERE's Summer Sublet Series. Galahad and the Dragons runs Tuesday, August 7 and Wednesday, August 8, at 7:00pm. Tickets ($15) are available for purchase at http://here.org/shows/detail/2004/

Galahad and the Dragons weaves Arthurian mythology into the spirited life of a fictional American town reckoning with the arrival of a floating island and its mysterious inhabitants.

The town of Galahad is dwindling in population. Its current residents include an enterprising moonshiner, the lonely matriarch of a once great family, and a priest mad with grief. Individual secrets and hopes are revealed as the town confronts its changing identity and uncertain future. Galahad and the Dragons is a powerful story about the many ways a community may react to newcomers unlike themselves.

Arif Silverman (Actor, Playwright), is an actor, writer, teacher, and native New Yorker. He has two additional solo shows: Constellarium, most recently performed at the Access Theatre with Rebel Playhouse; Nolie Min Tangible, which has been performed all across the country, including the Grafton Correctional Facility in Ohio. Keep your ears peeled for his new children's musical with the Working Title As Told by the Stray. Previous roles include Raja in the national premiere of On the Grill (Dobama Theater), Don Pedro in Much Ado about Nothing (The Juneberry Collective), Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Fools & Kings), Caliban in The Tempest (New Art Theater), Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet (The New Euripides) and Malcolm in Macbeth (Oberlin Summer Theater Festival).
