Recipients to be honored at the 41st annual national celebration of the arts are: singer and actress Cher, composer and pianist Philip Glass, Country music entertainer Reba McEntire, and jazz saxophonist and composer Wayne Shorter. According to Variety, FX has ordered an eight-part mini series about of the lives of iconic Broadway duo, Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon, based on Sam Wasson's book, 'Fosse.' Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams are attached to lead the series. Production is set to start this fall, with an expected 2019 premiere.

According to the Wall Street Journal, a bidding war is underway for the rights to a big screen version of the Broadway hit. The movie would be a filmed, onstage version of the musical that was recorded in 2016, featuring creator Lin-Manuel Miranda in the title role, as well as other original cast members.
