On Thursday, May 2nd, Richard Pryor Jr. offered fans, friends and some of his farther's co-stars a glimpse into the life of his iconic parent, Richard Pryor Senior, discussing his own self-proclaimed 'Freakish Life' that paralleled his namesake and famous father's life in many ways, found in his new memoir. In A Pryor Life, already in its second printing only days after its release. The event began with the unveiling of a costume worn by Richard Pryor Jr in the film "College Debt" co-starring Lucille Ball's granddaughter, Katherine Luckinbill, Janet Carroll and Academy Award winner, Celeste Holmes, in what would be her last film. The costume will be included in the museum's upcoming Real to Reel: Perceptions and Portrayals of LGBTQ History in Film and Television.

The inaugural Palm Springs International Comedy Festival www.palmspringscomedyfest.com celebrated the top names in comedy at a special awards gala held on November 10 at the Hotel Zoso & Spa in downtown Palm Springs. The star studded, black tie event honored the best comedic celebrity talents in stand-up, film and television. Comedian Kathy Griffin was presented with the 'Comedian of the Year' Award, while Illeana Douglas received the 'Pioneer in Comedy Award' for the first ever branded Web series 'Easy To Assemble.' The award-winning cast and production team of Paramount's summer blockbuster 'Book Club' were presented with the 'Stanley Kramer Mad World Comedy Award.'

Emmy Award winner Sally Struthers and Broadway & TV favorite Joyce Reehling headline Love, Loss, and What I Wore at Judson Theatre Company (Morgan Sills, Executive Producer and Daniel Haley, Artistic Director). Struthers is best known for her roles on All in the Family and  Gilmore Girls. Reehling is a beloved veteran of stage and television (Fifth of July, Law & Order). Love, Loss, and What I Wore opens Today, October 18 at 7:00 pm and runs through Sunday, October 21 at the Hannah Center Theatre (on the campus of The O'Neal School, 3300 Airport Road, Southern Pines, NC 28387).  Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Last night, 'Livin' On A Prairie,' a six episode series created by and starring Broadway's Pamela Bob (Hand to God, A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder), screened to a sold-out house at Spring Studios as an official selection of the 2nd Tribeca TV Festival's Fall Pilot Season.The world premieres of five indie comedy pilots showcasing new voices in episodic storytelling ranged from conventions of adulthood, sex and…William Shakespeare. Original TV Director of Batman, Robert Butler commented, 'They say you can't go home again . Well, I just did. Between the Batman 66 Exhibit on the third floor of The Hollywood Museum and spending time with Burt and Donna it was like going home again. I enjoyed my visit back to Gotham city and the Batcave!'

Alison Arngrim (Nellie Oleson from Little House on the Prairie) and Carter Calvert portray Louise Seger and Patsy Cline, respectively, in the Ted Swindley comedic musical entitled ALWAYS…PATSY CLINE, which is based on a true story that has humor that can be appreciated both by major Patsy Cline fans and people who never heard of her. I highly recommend this comedy.
