Alexandra Silber is often known for her nuanced and powerful portrayals of strong Jewish women, including Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof, Halina in Indecent and more. Silber is back on stage now in the dual roles of Dola/Vita in Karen Hartman's The Lucky Star, being presented as part of the inaugural VOLT Festival at 59E59. 

Producers Douglas Denoff & Beth Goldsmith, and 59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) present the Directors Company’s production of The Lucky Star by Karen Hartman, directed by Noah Himmelstein (Rooted). The Lucky Star began previews on April 26, 2022 in Theater A and opened May 5 for a run through June 12, 2022.

We attended a poignant production of The Lucky Star produced by The Directors Company, that featured outstanding direction by Noah Himmelstein, and an excellent cast.

Transport Group's revival of its acclaimed 2011 production of The Patsy, written by Barry Conners, performed by David Greenspan, and directed by Jack Cummings III, officially opened on Sunday, April 10 at 3pm.

Stories on Stage concludes this season with Good Day Sunshine at Su Teatro Cultural and Performing Arts Center, 721 Santa Fe Drive on Sunday, May 1 at 2 p.m. Virtual performance begins On Friday, May 6 at 7:00 p.m. and will be available for viewing any time thereafter. With her new show about the roles she should have played, Mary Lahti creates a touchingly hilarious (or hilariously touching) story of the pitfalls of being an actor.

Early in the show, Silber hit Valentine’s day out of the park as she told of being the author of two, count them TWO books. One of her published efforts, AFTER ANATEVKA: A NOVEL INSPIRED BY 'FIDDLER ON THE ROOF', served as the basis for a 3 song triptych in her LOVE set.

FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club, will present A Broadway Valentine’s Day! on February 14 at 7:00pm and 9:45pm. The 9:45pm performance will also be livestreamed. There is a $50-$60 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum.

The Green Room 42 has announced their February line-up for in-person performances. Additionally, The Green Room 42 is excited to launch 5/5/5 Tickets – in celebration of their 5th Anniversary, five $5 tickets will be available for every show from February 15, 2022, through February 14, 2023.
