Bergen County Players announced its 2026-27 season, opening with the area premiere of Mel Brooks' THE PRODUCERS at the Little Firehouse Theatre, marking the musical's 25th Broadway anniversary.

The NANCE is currently enjoying a succesful and critically aclaimed run at Elmwood Playhouse in Nyack, NY.  We caught up with the play's director Alan Demovsky to chat a bit about the play's message and its extraordinary significance in today's increasingly repressive political climate.

This is a colorful, nimble tapestry textured with high-stakes pathos alternating with low humor, weaving a spell of superior and highly original stage entertainment. 

Elmwood Playhouse in Nyack will present The Nance, written by Douglas Carter Beane, opening May 16 and running through June 7.  This production incorporates music and comedy in a story that sheds light on the lives of comedic burlesque performers during the final days of vaudeville.
