The 24 Hour Plays welcome new and returning artists alike for Season Three, Episode Five of The 24 Hour Plays: VIral Monologues tonight.

The fifth film of the popular franchise starring Steve Carell explores the origin story of Gru and how he came to be the world’s greatest villain alongside his minions. The film directed by Kyle Balda and co-directed by Brad Ableson and Jonathan del Val also stars Russell Brand, Taraji P. Henson, Michelle Yeoh and Oscar® winner Julie Andrews. 

Second Stage Theater has announced casting for the Broadway debut production of Stephen Adly Guirgis’ Pulitzer Prize-winning play, BETWEEN RIVERSIDE AND CRAZY, directed by Austin Pendleton. The production will star Victor Almanzar, Elizabeth Canavan, Rosal Colon and more.

Actress-singer Sally Kellerman, who achieved worldwide movie fame for her role as Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan in Robert Altman's classic 1970 film “M*A*S*H,” with Donald Sutherland and Elliott Gould, died early this morning (Feb. 24) in her sleep from heart failure at her home in Woodland Hills.  She was 84.  For her iconic role, she was nominated as “Best Supporting Actress” by both the Oscars and Golden Globes.  It was reported by her manager and publicist Alan Eichler.

A new stage musical adaptation of the book 'The Last Unicorn' is in the works! According to the official website for Beagleverse, the entertainment company created in partnership with the book's author Peter S. Beagle, the book will also be adapted into a live action film. Pop singer/songwriter Fergie is attached to the musical in some capacity, but no further details are announced at this time.
