Jerry Zaks To Direct Pre-Broadway MRS. DOUBTFIRE at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre This Fall

Producer Kevin McCollum announced today that the new musical, Mrs. Doubtfire, will premiere at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre this fall on route to Broadway. The musical features a book Karey Kirkpatrick and John O'Farrell and music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick, the Tony Award nominated team behind Something Rotten! Four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks (Hello, Dolly!) will direct and Lorin Latarro (Waitress) will choreograph. Ethan Popp (Tina) will serve as Music Supervisor.
Keala Settle Will Join Hugh Jackman At New York Shows This Month

It was announced today that actress and singer Keala Settle will perform as a very special guest in New York and Los Angeles on Hugh Jackman's The Man. The Music. The Show tour. Keala will perform the Academy Award nominated and Golden Globe Award winning song "This Is Me" from The Greatest Showman and more at the three Madison Square Garden shows on Friday, June 28 7PM, Saturday, June 29 1PM and 7PM and the two Hollywood Bowl shows on Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20, both shows at 8PM.

Joining Jackman and Settle will be the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, for two nights only: Friday and Saturday, July 19 and 20, at 8 PM.
Creative Team For Kansas City Ballet's THE WIZARD OF OZ Nominated For Major Award

Kansas City Ballet Artistic Director Devon Carney today announced that the creative team for The Wizard of Oz including Septime Webre (choreography), Matthew Pierce (composer), Michael Raiford (set design) and Liz Vandal (costume design) have been nominated for the Prix Benois de la danse, considered to be the most prestigious ballet award in the world. Awards will be given in Moscow, Russia on May 21st during which Kansas City Ballet Company dancers Lilliana Hagerman (Dorothy), Lamin Pereira dos Santos (Tin Man), and Jeremy Hanson (Toto puppeteer) will perform a short excerpt from the production at the historic Bolshoi Theatre.
