Experience the creation of an original play in real time! Each of Act One Scene Two's performances features a different guest playwright who has submitted the first scene of an unfinished play. The cast performs the submitted scene, having just read it for the first time, then improvises the rest of the play- starting from Act One, Scene Two.

World War II Veteran, Hershel 'Woody' Williams, the last surviving Medal of Honor recipient from the Pacific theater during WWII, and co-founder of the Hershel 'Woody' Williams Medal of Honor Foundation, is gearing up to toss the coin before the kickoff of Super Bowl LII this Sunday. This will be part of a special tribute honoring those who have received the Medal of Honor, our nation's highest award for valor that can be bestowed upon an individual serving in the U.S. Armed Services.

Surrounded by friends, family, and colleagues from the East Bay, San Francisco and Marin, California Shakespeare Theater's Artistic Director Jonathan Moscone was truly the man of the hour at La Dolce Vita, Cal Shakes' 15th annual gala on Saturday, March 20, 2010. The event, honorarily co-chaired by Ann and Gordon Getty and Barclay and Sharon Simpson, celebrated 10 years of Moscone's artistic leadership of the company, with the proceeds raised going to Cal Shakes' work on stage, in classrooms and throughout communities.
