OTC has announced the appointment of Kevin 'Blax' Burroughs as the new Associate Artistic Director of Oceanside Theatre Company. In this role, Burroughs will work alongside OTC Artistic Director Ted Leib to support the artistic vision of the organization and programming of the mainstage subscription season, as well as auxiliary programming and other special projects.

Veterans and active members of the military can sign up for two free tickets to OTC's Military Matinee performance of Good People on Sunday, May 14 at 2 pm at the Brooks Theater in downtown Oceanside.

Long-time San Diego actress, Sandy Campbell is taking on a new challenge with her directorial debut of Oceanside Theatre Company's Good People by David Lindsay-Abaire, an emotional, heartfelt drama broken up by poignant moments of laugh-aloud humor.

“On a clear day,” is the opening and closing of NEAT by Charlene Woodard, as she recounts her coming of age in 1960s and 70s America and her relationship with her disabled aunt. A co-production of the Loud Fridge Theatre Group and Scripps Ranch Theatre, this play is beautifully performed and directed and is playing at Scrips Ranch Theatre through April 16th.

Lucky Stiff is a frolicking musical romcom full of hilarious hijinx in which English shoe salesman Harry Witherspoon agrees to take his dead uncle's corpse on vacation to Monte Carlo in hopes of winning his inheritance - which it turns out was embezzled from his uncle's girlfriend's husband. The musical farce, written by the Tony-award-winning writing team Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty and directed by Moonlight Theatre founder Kathy Brombacher, offers audiences a wonderful sense of escapism.

It may be said that 'Art imitates life' but one never hopes that their life imitates art, especially something akin to a Shakespearian tragedy. Yet, Brenda Adelman presents her one-woman show MY BROOKLYN HAMLET, which follows the way her life parallels HAMLET and shaped her childhood and life as an artist. Scripps Ranch Theatre and Oceanside Theatre Company are co-producing this streaming show, available through May 2nd. 

Scripps Ranch Theatre and Oceanside Theatre have teamed up once again  to co-produce the filmed performance of the one woman play, MY BROOKLYN HAMLET written and performed by Brenda Adelman.

The reading will be live-streamed from the Brooks Theatre on Saturday, December 19th at 7pm.

This Thursday, April 2nd at 7:30pm - Scripps Ranch Theatre and Oceanside Theatre Company team up to share a live staged reading of QUIET CROSS, a new play by local playwright Casey Tibbitts.

Oceanside Theatre Company brings music and dance back to their stage with a production of SWEET CHARITY, running from March 6-29.
