Twenty years ago, Lissie and Roger fled from their family farm and made themselves disappear. But the family secrets haunt them still. A funeral and a question from an old friend send the two siblings tumbling down a rabbit hole of memory and grief, as they try to let go of a tangled past that refuses to release them.

CHATTING WITH THE TEA PARTY, a documentary-style play by playwright Rich Orloff (Funny as a Crutch), based on interviews he conducted with leaders of Tea Party groups around the country, will have its world premiere and begin performances at The Robert Moss Theater (440 Lafayette Street, 3rd floor) on Saturday, January 30th. Directed by four-time Carbonell Award winner Lynnette Barkley, the play will open Monday, February 1st at 7pm. Tickets are $18 and can be purchased online at www.chattingwiththeteaparty.com.

Rhapsody in Black, conceived, written and performed by Leland Gantt (Requiem for a Dream, Malcolm X and Presumed Innocent ) with directorial consultation by Estelle Parsons (notorious for her Oscar-winning performance as Blanche Barrow in Bonnie and Clyde) opens in the WorkShop Theater Company's Jewel Box Theater, 312 W. 36th St., on Thursday, January 30th at 8:00PM.

THE WORKSHOP THEATER COMPANY has announced Philip W. Hall's LIFE ON THE MISSISSIPPI, A Musical Play, musical direction and orchestrations by Fran Minarik and directed by Susanna Frazer. In honor of WorkShop Theater Company's 15th Anniversary Season, Tony Award winner Bill Irwin, members of both the Original and Broadway-Bound casts of HAIR - including two-time Tony Award nominee André de Shields and Heather MacRae, - along with New York's finest new vaudeville and burlesque acts and WorkShop Company artists, performed live to benefit WorkShop Theater on Monday, October 27, 7:00 PM at the Zipper Factory.
