EINSTEIN, a world premiere of a new play by Jay Prasad, will host a very special post-performance discussion tomorrow (Sunday) at Theatre at St. Clement's. Immediately following the 3 PM matinee, the audience will have the opportunity to hear from Brian Schwartz (Professor of Physics at CUNY), Kevin Kennedy (Associate Professor of Philosophy at St. John's University) and Randolph Curtis Rand, the director of EINSTEIN. There will be an audience Q&A as well.

The cast of EINSTEIN features Richard Kent Green (THE SIXTH COMMANDMENT) as Albert Einstein, Steven Bidwell (PLAYING THE ROLE), Steve Carter (THE SPOON RIVER PROJECT), Jill Catherine Durso ("Famous Farrah"), Brad Fryman (THE DRAWER BOY), Grant Kretchik (WHEN HARRY TRIES TO MARRY), Frank Palmer (FIRECRACKER FLOWER), Jay William Thomas (I DO WONDER), Sophie Vanier ("Boardwalk Empire"), and Sheilagh Weymouth (B-SIDE).

EINSTEIN follows the turbulent life of the renowned physicist as he moves from a dropout with no foreseeable prospects to the most renowned scientist of his time. Einstein was an enigmatic and controversial figure throughout his life. Who was the real Einstein? The man who cruelly mistreated his first wife, or the one who worked day and night to bring over refugees from Hitler's Germany? The pioneer who explored new frontiers in science, or the road blocker who passionately opposed quantum mechanics and the Big Bang Theory? EINSTEIN explores the many facets of his motivations, offering audiences the opportunity to assess the complex man behind the charismatic genius.

Jay Prasad's novel FABULOUS VOYAGE ACROSS THE OCEAN SEA was recently published by Wings Press. His plays includeOREGON, PRISONER OF LOVE, RUSSELL'S PARADOX, and DAILY SOUNDS. Director Randolph Curtis Rand directed the critically acclaimed UNCLE TOM'S CABIN at the Drama Dept. Other companies and artists he has worked with in New York include The Public Theater, Richard Foreman, La MaMa, The Wooster Group, The Foundry Theatre, Meredith Monk, Elevator Repair Service, The Talking Band, Target Margin, and Witness Relocation.

Presented by Variations Theatre Group (Rich Ferraioli, Artistic Director), EINSTEIN will play a limited engagement through August 25th. The performance schedule is Thursday through Saturday evenings at 8 PM, with matinees Sunday at 3 PM at Theatre at St. Clement's, 423 West 46th Street (between Ninth & Tenth Ave.). Tickets are $18 and are available through www.VariationsTheatreGroup.com or by calling OvationTix at 212-352-3101.
