There may not have been 76 trombones, but Florence Henderson and Constantine Maroulis did excellent impersonations of librarian Marian Paroo and Harold Hill of 'The Music Man' fame, as they lead a 28 piece marching Broadway band into the Skirball Cultural Center in the new Guerin Pavilion/Herscher Hall to begin an evening of co-hosting for the Actors Fund's 18th Annual Tony Awards® Party. Swenson's breakout comedic masterpiece, THE YEAR OF DEAD CATS, which had its World Premiere on Sunday, June 16 at Stage Left Studio (214 West 30th Street - between Seventh & Eighth Avenues - Sixth Floor) has extended through September during which time the show will also participate in Cheryl King's acclaimed Women At Work Festival.

On January 17th, TCL (formerly Grauman's) Chinese Theatre presented a public screening of 'THE BIRDS' featuring a Q&A with cast co-stars Tippi Hedren and Veronica Cartwright. Hosted by Red Line Tour's owner, Tony Hoover, the screening celebrated the 50th anniversary of Hitchcock's Masterpiece released in January, 1963. Check out photos from the event below!

On January 17, 2013 Red Line Tours launched their second set of collectors tickets, 'Directors Series,' highlighting four celebrated and iconic film directors. Designed by world-renowned artist, Andre Miripolsky, as a memento to patrons of the tour and of their visit to Hollywood. The tickets feature Charlie Chaplin, Alfred Hitchcock, Clint Eastwood and Sofia Coppola, the Silent, Golden, Modern and Contemporary eras of film. 'Who would have thought that a young boy from Weymouth would become part of such a large family of vagabonds,' remarked Hal Holbrook about the actors and industry professionals that gathered to honor him at the 15th annual TONY Award party in Los Angeles. 'Not all of us have been lucky enough to make a steady income from this profession we love so much. It's nice to know an organization such as the Actors Fund exists to watch our backs, while we concentrate on using our craft to make the world a richer place to live,' added Holbrook just after friend and colleague, Sean Penn, presented the accomplished thespian with the Julie Harris Award. Penn, who directed Holbrook in 'Into The Wild,' said 'Hal always got it in the first take, but you wanted him to do it again, just so you could watch him work.'

As the theatrical community of NY gathered on the Great White Way to celebrate their own for the 2010 TONY AWARDS, the Los Angeles thespian society congregated 3000 miles away to cheer their colleagues via a LIVE feed, courtesy of Direct TV, as THE ACTORS FUND and host Tommy Tune honored TONY Award-winner Brian Stokes Mitchell at their 14th Annual Tony Awards Party with the Julie Harris Award. Former High School chum and dance partner Annette Bening presented the award in recognition of not only 'Stokes' theatrical accomplishments, but also his leadership as Chairman of the Board of The Actors Fund. The gala, which included a memorable performance of 'You Made Me Love You' by Lorna Luft dedicated to the evening's honoree, was produced and written by Marc Cherry and David Rambo.

Playwright, essayist and famous author of radio drama of the 30s and 40s Norman Corwin, now 100 years young, loved to entertain audiences with light entertainment, including fantasy, that often tackled important social issues, not unlike Orson Welles. He has frequently been referred to as the 'Poet Laureate of Radio'. CART (California Artists Radio Theatre), to celebrate Corwins's 100th birthday on May 3, presented two of his short comedies, both directed sublimely by Peggy Webber, on Saturday, May 29 at the Beverly Garland Theatre in NoHo.
