BIO

Rebecca Wang is a visionary entrepreneur and executive film producer with a distinguished background in clinical psychology. Her dedication to the arts is rooted in a profound belief that creativity and education are transformative forces, empowering individuals to express emotions, heal from trauma, and achieve their highest potential. In addition to her impactful contributions across diverse art forms, Wang is a passionate advocate for global health and humanitarian causes. She actively supports the fight against AIDS through her involvement with two leading organizations: the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) and the Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR).

Wang’s journey began in Asia, and she has since lived and worked across the US and Europe. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Clinical Psychology from the world class University of California, Berkeley — ranked #5 globally for its academic excellence and leadership. In addition, she earned a Master of Science degree with an eminent focus on Marriage, Family, and Child Psychotherapy from California State University. Wang’s distinguished career encompasses leadership roles at some of the most esteemed institutions, where she has made a profound impact through her expertise in transformative therapy for individuals, couples, children, and families. In addition to her esteemed institutional role, she founded a prestigious private practice, where she delivers highly personalized therapy, integrating compassionate care with an exceptional understanding of each client’s distinct needs. Her methodology embodies a distinct blend of strategic psychological expertise and innovative perspectives, enhanced by the artful integration of astrology into her therapeutic practice; she offers a transformative approach that bridges emotional healing with astrological insight. By examining the dynamic interplay between astrological influences and psychological patterns, she delves into how celestial movements and past-life imprints in the individual birth chart deeply influence current thought processes, emotional responses, and behavioral tendencies. This comprehensive perspective sheds light on core issues, empowering clients to align their inner world with deeper insights and self-awareness, enabling them to make more conscious and thoughtful choices. Her methodology is uniquely tailored to resonate with each client’s emotional state, fostering a profound understanding of their inner landscape. With a focus on both immediate issues and underlying emotional intricacies, her approach consistently achieves transformative success. Her deep appreciation for the therapeutic power of art has further enriched her journey as a filmmaker, imbuing her work with artistic depth that harmoniously complements her holistic approach to healing and personal growth.

Inspired to broaden the scope of her creative influence, Wang made her debut as an executive producer in 2011 with the Hollywood feature film Passion Play, which earned selection at the esteemed 37th Toronto International Film Festival. The film featured an exceptional cast, including BAFTA winner Mickey Rourke and the iconic Bill Murray, both acclaimed actors and former Oscar Academy Award nominees.

Based in London, Wang channels her deep passion for the arts through her involvement with some of the city’s most prestigious cultural institutions. She is a distinguished member of the Academy Circle at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), the Director’s Circle at the Victoria and Albert Museum, and a devoted patron of the National Gallery, Tate Modern, and Serpentine Galleries. Her belief in the healing power of music has also made her a dedicated patron of the Royal Academy of Music.

Wang’s artistic pursuits span a broad and refined spectrum, encompassing literature, photography, filmmaking, music, as well as interior and fashion design—each medium offering a distinct language through which she expresses her visionary spirit and sophisticated creative sensibility. Together, these passions form a cohesive thread that runs through her life and work, shaping a deep and enduring commitment to culture, beauty, and the art of living well.

This sensibility now informs her latest professional direction: a curated e-commerce platform devoted to rare and collectible pre-owned luxury. Conceived as both a marketplace and a sanctuary, the platform brings together exceptional archival pieces from the world’s most revered designers—each selected for its artistry, provenance, and quiet emotional resonance. Here, fashion is elevated to its truest form: a living archive of memory, craftsmanship, and timeless elegance.

She is member of the Academy Circle for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), a Director of Circle for the Victoria and Albert Museum, and patron to the National, Tate Modern and Serpentine Galleries. Recognising the power of music’s properties for healing has led her to be a patron to the Royal College of Music. She also has a broad interest in design, photography and fashion.

The Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF), founded by Sir Elton John in 1992, is one of the world’s most impactful privately funded organizations dedicated to eradicating AIDS. Since its inception, EJAF has remained steadfast in its mission to provide treatment, advance prevention, and foster education, raising over $300 million to support more than 1,200 transformative initiatives worldwide.

Rebecca Wang has been a generous benefactor of EJAF’s prestigious Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party, Hollywood’s largest and most high-profile fundraising event on Oscar night. She contributed significantly for two consecutive years (2011 and 2012) and resumed her role as a patron from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, Wang served as a patron of EJAF’s New York Enduring Vision Benefit in October 2013, an event that honored extraordinary contributions to the fight against AIDS. Notably, the 2013 event recognized Hillary Clinton with the Founder’s Award for her tireless dedication to the cause.

In addition to her involvement with EJAF, Wang has also supported amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research. amfAR plays a pivotal role on the global stage, advancing research, treatment, and education in the fight against AIDS. The organization has long attracted support from luminaries across film, fashion, and music, including Elizabeth Taylor, Karl Lagerfeld, and David Bowie, as well as influential leaders such as former U.S. President Bill Clinton.

Wang’s contributions to amfAR began in 2012 when she served as a sponsor for the Paris Inspiration Gala in collaboration with Piaget and M.A.C Viva Glam. Her involvement deepened in 2013 and 2014 when she chaired both the Los Angeles and New York Inspiration Galas along with amfAR Chairman Kenneth Cole. In 2015, she extended her gracious support to amfAR Milano, an event dedicated to advancing the foundation’s critical research and education initiatives. These celebrated galas have honored notable figures such as Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, philanthropist Aileen Getty, fashion icon Valentino, actress Goldie Hawn, visionary fashion designer Tom Ford, and global superstar Jennifer Lopez, all recognized for their unwavering dedication to the fight against AIDS.

Beyond her commitment to AIDS-related causes, Wang has also extended her philanthropy to Catholic Charities USA, an organization that has championed the needs of vulnerable populations in the United States for over a century. Through its mission to provide essential care and promote social justice, Catholic Charities inspires hope and compassion in communities nationwide.

Rebecca Wang’s compassion further extends to animal welfare. She is a passionate advocate for protecting mistreated animals and a proud supporter of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA). Founded in 1824, the RSPCA is the world’s oldest and most influential animal welfare organization, renowned for its pioneering efforts to enforce legislation ensuring animals' dignity and well-being. Wang’s unwavering dedication to this cause reflects her deep belief that all living beings deserve to be treated with respect, love, and care.

Wang is a steadfast believer in the transformative power of the arts, driving her to support a wide array of creative expressions. Her dedication extends equally to humanitarian causes, where she is a strong advocate for raising awareness and advancing education. Wang is convinced that, through education and the healing power of the arts, we can foster a more compassionate, unified, and harmonious world.
