BIO
Rachel Guth is an award winning actor who has worked at Marriott Theatre, Northlight Theatre, Music Theatre Works, Boho Theatre, Black Button Eyes, The Chicago Musical Theatre Festival, Northwestern University, the American Music Theatre Project, and Blank Theatre, where she is a company member. Some favorite roles include Samantha Brown in The Mad Ones, Rose in Ghost Quartet, Olive Ostrovsky in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Anne in A Little Night Music, Teen Fiona in Shrek, and Ilona in She Loves Me (Jeff Nominee). Offstage, she has been featured both singing and speaking on popular podcasts, as well as in a national print campaign. Described in the lyrics as a 'circular story,' the nonlinear plot follows four friends through interweaving stories that include two sisters in a murderous love triangle, a modern-day subway platform homicide, and retellings of Arabian Nights and Edgar Allen Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher. Malloy's musical influences are as eclectic as his literary sources, and fans will recognize many of the styles present in his best-known work, the Tony Award-winning NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812.
