The Lillys, under the leadership and vision of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage and The Lillys Executive Director Julia Jordan, have named the inaugural recipients of the Hansberry Lilly Playwright Fellowship.
Today, The Lorraine Hansberry Initiative announced their plans for programming in Los Angeles that will take place during the summer, including two special installations of sculptor Alison Saar’s statue of Hansberry at Gloria Molina Grand Park from June 14th – June 30th and at the A C Bilbrew Library from July 7th – July 31st.

The Billie Holiday Theatre has announced the return of its monologue showcase series - 50in50 – with a special fifth anniversary edition of the show - 50in50: Shattering the Glass Ceiling. For this year’s show, 50 original monologues were selected from women of African descent from across the globe and will be read by 50 women actors.
