Act II Playhouse has announced its latest production, a musical cabaret for the holiday season, “Cole For Your Stocking.”

Act II Playhouse announces their latest stage musical, “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” with book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts. The show runs May 3 through June 5.

It was announced today that David Carpenter, the multi-platform entertainment producer (Slava's Snowshow on Broadway, Puffs: Filmed live) and CEO of Gamiotics Inc., will present SAVING WONDERLAND, the latest live performance real-time gaming experience from Seize the Show. Performances will begin on Thursday, November 19 at 8pm ET.

Nora Schell (Jagged Little Pill), Emily Behny (Wicked [national tour]), Bill Coyne (The Deuce [HBO]) and more bring new energy to Thornton's music in a one-of-a-kind evening of intimacy, fun, and feeling. A local company is set to stage a World Premiere musical about a challenge faced by every human being – living in our bodies. This new musical, In My Body, features lyrics by Michael Biello and music by Dan Martin with a book by Lis Kalogris, Kate Cipriano, and Melissa Hays. Through song and spoken word, movement and photography, In My Body reveals true-life physical and emotional body stories and challenges us to embrace who we are and open our hearts to others. 

In My Body, a world-premiere musical nearly ten years in the making opening this November at Philadelphia's Prince Theater, is described by it's creators as groaning, bitching, laughing, exploring, and revealing truths through song, spoken word, movement, and art.  Audiences will experience thisintimate piece first-hand when it opens on November 9 for a strictly limited engagement of six performances through November 13.  The cast includes Katie Zaffrann, Donnie Hammond, April Woodall, Austin Ku, and Michael Indeglio.

David Alan Thornton presents a staged reading of his original musical Little Bitters Monday, September 15 at the Galway Pub. Can you love someone else if you've lost yourself? Little Bitters seeks to answer the question as it follows the up-by-his-bootstraps romantic Mikey, the bitchier-than-thou ex-Jazz-singer Pearl, and the young mother Liz: all trapped behind the service aprons of their local bar. One by one, they discover the small beautiful things in their lives that may- or may not- make them worth the living. With fresh style and a classic charge, Little Bitters highlights the hopes, abuse, selfishness, and victories that live in us all.

The 15th Annual Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) presents Eddie and the Palaceades, a new rock and roll musical with book and lyrics by Roy O'Neil and music by Stephen Feigenbaum.
