David Alan Thornton's EIGHT YEAR ITCH Comes to Feinstein's/54 Below

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents David Alan Thornton's Eight Year Itch on May 18, 2018. Expressive, exciting, and eccentric, this is not one to be missed! Eight-Year Itch is a delightful miscellany of original songs and stories, at Feinstein's/54 Below. David's lush melodies and bold arrangements come alive in the hands of an electric collection of New York City's best performance artists, interpreting compositions from the past eight years, including selections from his musicals Little Bitters and Lady Monday, Bill Coyne's celebrated MuseMatch concert series, and more. It'll be a laugh-out-loud, rock-and-roll, wipe-your-eye evening, so join David Alan Thornton and friends at Feinstein's/54 Below and get relief from that Eight-Year Itch of your own.

Cory Jaecoma (Jersey Boys), Morissa Trunzo, Bill Coyne, and Michael Indeglio join the stellar group of talent performing in Eight-Year Itch. The evening also features Zachary Prince (Honeymoon in Vegas, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever), Emily Behny (The Circus In Winter, Beauty and the Beast), Hansel Tan (Ping Pong), Jeremy Konopka, Lindsay Spangenthal, Patty Lohr (Kinky Boots, Sweeney Todd), Cecilia Snow (Ragtime), Michael Deleget, Caleb Pringle, and Tom Jorgensen. Music direction will be by Nathan Dame.

David Alan Thornton's Eight-Year Itch, will play Feinstein's/54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on May 18, 2018 at 11:30pm. As a writer, David Alan Thornton has been called "too open-minded for the Midwest and too open-hearted for New York." As a performer, his "soulful vocal stylings compliment confessional lyrics that border on literary greatness."

DAT moved to NYC in 2010 to be part of the BMI Lehman Engel Music Theatre Workshop. He has since written and produced the David Alan Thornton Versus cabaret series, composed five original songs for Bill Coyne's Muse Match project, and presented readings of two original musicals: Little Bitters and Lady Monday: A Rock Opera. In 2013, he recorded his first full-length album "Spokedog", following it with Lady Monday in 2015. He was selected as Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company's 2016-2017 Playwright Fellow, and he is currently developing two new plays. His work can be found at www.davidalanthornton.com
