Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School presents a concert version of The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical on Thursday, April 25 and Friday, April 26 at 6:30 p.m. Follow Percy Jackson, the son of Poseidon, on his quest to find Zeus' stolen lightning bolt and save the world from a potential war between the gods.

Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Drama Department presents A ROCKIN' Midsummer Night's Dream - a regional premiere adaptation of Shakespeare's play in a new musical version adapted by Michael Unger and Eric Svejcar with a score by Mr. Svejcar. Orchestrations are by Broadway's Kim Scharnberg. Performances are set for March 7th, 8th, & 9th, 2019 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School (5901 Pine Island Drive, Parkland, FL). Moments later, a Code Red sounded. Herzfeld rushed her 65 students into a storage closet while a shooter killed 17 teachers and students nearby.

Broadway Break Thru (BBT) today announces that Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student and survivor, Sawyer Garrity, will be a participant attending the first ever 'College Break Thru' in Chicago. Scheduled to take place Monday, June 25th thru Friday, June 29th at the University Center Chicago (525 S State Street), the summer symposium gives performing arts students the opportunity to receive the tools needed to excel in their auditions and performances while also providing more than $250,000 in college scholarships.

The Tony Awards have announced that Melody Herzfeld of Parkland, Florida, has been named the fourth recipient of the Excellence in Theatre Education Award. The Tony Awards announced the news with higher education partner and award presenter Carnegie Mellon University (CMU).
