Spirited Away is coming back to theaters. Tickets are on sale now for master director Hayao Miyazaki’s Academy Award-winning adventure, Spirited Away, which returns to theaters in April for 5 nights of screenings nationwide. Coming off the blockbuster theatrical release, and triumphant Oscar win for the director’s latest feature, The Boy and the Heron, GKIDS and Fathom are thrilled to kick off the 2024 edition of Studio Ghibli Fest with the celebrated filmmaker’s previous Academy Award-winning feature. 
Japanese Rock Superstars Announce The Radwimps World Tour 2024

Latin American Tour dates this spring, as a follow up to their 2023 sold out North American, European, Australian and Asian tours. The tour kicks off on March 15 in Mexico City at Pepsi Center WTC and will also hit markets including Monterrey and São Paulo before wrapping on March 24 in Santiago at Caupolican Theatre.

Specialists in Anglo-Japanese stage adaptations, Whole Hog Theatre return after their hugely successful Princess Mononoke to present The Garden of Words. Based on the stereotype-defying film by world-renowned director Makoto Shinkai (your name.), The Garden of Words is a modern Tokyo tale inspired by ancient Man'yōshū poetry. This subtle drama explores invisible disability, loss of human connection in a digital world and challenges us to consider the moral line between platonic and romantic longing. Makoto Shinkai's subsequent film, Your Name (2016), became one of the highest-grossing anime of all time in 2016.

The 5th Annual Asian World Film Festival (AWFF) returns to Culver City beginning on November 6th and ending on November 14th, 2019. Premieres and exciting film-related events will be held throughout the nine-day festival at the Arclight Cinema in Culver City. Beloved Asian actress Nancy Kwan (Flower Drum Song, The World of Suzie Wong) will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award and Director Lena Khan will be awarded the Red Cross/Courage to Dream Award on Opening Night, November 6th. In addition, Jury President, Meryem Uzerli will present the 2019 jurors at the Opening Night Ceremony.
