Louis Cancelmi

Cancelmi is a frequent performer with the Public Theater, appearing in productions at both its Astor Library home and the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. His theatre credits include Please Be Normal (2014) and The Tempest as part of Shakespeare in the Park (2015).

He began his film career in 2003 with New Guy as Winston and Si' Laraby as Balkanin. His subsequent film credits include First Person Singular (2009) as Louis, Gabi on the Roof in July (2010) as Garrett, Green (2011) as Dustin, The Ride of Tom & Valkyrie (2011) as Miguel, Gayby (2012) as Louis and Gayby: Deleted Scenes (2012) as Louis in an uncredited video short.

In 2014, he appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as Man in Black Suit and Please Be Normal as Victor. His 2015 film credits include Manhattan Romance as Jarrod, Funny Bunny as Peter and And It Was Good as Sesto Basti. In 2016, he played Jimmy in Tramps, followed by Daniel in Fits and Starts in 2017.

His 2019 film credits include Windows on the World as Miguel, Mass Hysteria as Giles, 21 Bridges as Bush, The Irishman as Sally Bugs, Inez & Doug & Kira as John and Team Marco as Richie. In 2020, he played Terrence in Give or Take. In 2021, he portrayed Richard Fletcher in The Eyes of Tammy Faye.

In 2023, he appeared as Kelsie Morrison in Killers of the Flower Moon and as Walker in Pet Shop Days. His 2025 film credits include Sorry, Baby as Preston Decker and In the Hand of Dante as Lefty and Guido da Polenta. In 2026, he appeared as Officer Goodman in The Bride! and Major Sanders in Mayday.

His television credits began with Law & Order: Criminal Intent, appearing as Phil in 2001 and Bernard in 2010. He played Victor Tanzi in an episode of Third Watch in 2003 and Malcolm Yates in an episode of Law & Order in 2007. In 2011, he appeared as Philip Haney in an episode of Untitled Jersey City Project, followed by the role of Georges Stannis in the television movie Americana in 2012.

In 2014, he played Mike D'Angelo and Mike Malone in six episodes of Boardwalk Empire. His 2015 television credits include Ben Reynolds in Elementary, Pierre in Inside Amy Schumer and Desmond in OM City. He also played Charlie Koslo in an episode of Chicago P.D. and Thomas Wilder in three episodes of Blue Bloods from 2015 to 2016.

In 2016, he appeared as Gaia in The Blacklist and began his recurring role as Victor Mateo on Billions, which continued through 2023. In 2018, he was part of the main cast of The Looming Tower as Vince Stuart. He played Richie Zambrano in an episode of Godfather of Harlem in 2019.

In 2022, he appeared as Carlo in four episodes of Kindred. In 2023, he joined the main cast of A Murder at the End of the World as Todd Andrews. In 2024, he played Rex Calabrese in two episodes of The Penguin. In 2025, he appeared as Jean-Guy Prevost in five episodes of Government Cheese.
