Monstrous Theatre has announced the first development workshop for SHORT STORIES, a new musical with book by illustrious British screenwriter, Mike Bullen, and music from the back-catalogue of the late, great, American singer-songwriter Harry Chapin.

The iconic Adelaide Festival Centre turns 50 today and they have rolled out the red carpet for a special celebratory concert tonight at Festival Theatre, with more festivities to come across the year.

Adelaide Festival Centre 50th Anniversary Celebration Concert will take place on Adelaide Festival Centre's actual birthday, Friday June 2 at Festival Theatre. With performances by an all-star South Australian line-up followed by an after-party celebration featuring cake, cocktails, live music and DJ's.

The five-time Tony Award winning production Titanic The Musical will play an exclusive and limited season In Concert in Melbourne this November. This special event will feature a 26-piece orchestra alongside a brilliant Australian cast gracing the stage at the landmark Melbourne Town Hall for 4 performances only on November 4, 5 and 6. 

One of the longest-running and most successful musicals of all time, the trio playing the iconic leads will be Melbourne-born Joshua Robson as The Phantom, Brisbane performer Georgina Hopson as Christine and acclaimed West End and Broadway musical theatre performer Callum Francis as Raoul Vicomte de Chagny.

Roald Dahl’s classic children’s story CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY has found its way to the stage as a musical, retaining some elements from the classic movies whilst diverging in some areas. Crown Theatre plays home to this stunning musical, treating the people of Perth to a world of pure imagination.

Following auditions by more than 300 hopeful artists in Brisbane and around the country (via video calls), the full cast of this September's Queensland premiere season of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was unveiled today coinciding with World Chocolate Day (7 July).

Joining host Amelia Ryan will be some of the biggest names in cabaret, as acclaimed singers and performers Libby O'Donovan, Johanna Allen, Tash York and Michelle Pearson will all hit the Queens Theatre stage from 11.15pm tonight as part of this special one-off Club Queens show.
