The whole of Contact High from Theater 511 is greater than the sum of its parts, which is a good thing in light of this show's plethora of moving parts within its kaleidoscopic plot. The result is a timely coming-of-age pop-rock musical that tells a lyrical and satirical story of drug addiction, the need for human connection, and hope.

September 7th at Theater 511, 511 West 54th Street. The official press opening night is on Thursday, August 22nd. Mr. Hass also directs the production. CONTACT HIGH tells the compelling story of the unlikely friendship between two high school seniors: Jean Simon - a drug dealer and recovering heroin addict and Haley Walter Keys - a misunderstood teen genius with a severe phobia of physical human contact. From the Heroin epidemic in Chicago to the love affairs of Sigmund Freud's daughter, this creative team pushes to delve into new and controversial material. The young duo explore some of their recent and upcoming works, including songs from Science Fair, Mind Games & Topple, and many stand-alone favorites. A cast of friends, from Broadway, Off-Broadway and beyond, help welcome them to the New York concert scene.
