BIO

Jennie Webb is a Los Angeles-based playwright and dramaturg (she created the new play development program, Seedlings, at Will Geer’s Theatricum Botanicum and co-created EST/LA’s Ignite Project) with works produced locally by Inkwell Theater, Rogue Machine, EST/LA, Road Theatre, Santa Monica Rep, Virginia Avenue Project, Theatre of NOTE and La Jolla Playhouse’s WOW Festival as well as in Canada, the UK, Europe, India, Iran and Iceland and at colleges and universities. Her plays have been developed by Great Plains Theatre Conferences, The Playwrights’ Center, Moving Arts MADlab, Blank Theatre, Playground-LA, National Winter Playwrights Retreat, Little Black Dress INK, Protest Plays Project, Climate Change Theatre Action, PlayGround Residency, Rogue Artist Ensemble’s Rogue Lab, Road Theatre Summer Playwrights Festivals and Under Construction; published by Heinemann Press, Smith & Kraus, Next Stage Press and ICWP. 23 composers and playwrights have contributed new works to Blindspot Collective's upcoming production of Hall Pass, an immersive musical being presented by La Jolla Playhouse for the 2019 Without Walls Festival. Award-winning artists' collective Rogue Artists Ensemble is thrilled to announce the Inaugural Rogue Lab Readings Series, a four-day event that includes readings of seven new works written, directed, and designed by emerging LA artists, as well as post-show discussions and receptions. The reading series will feature new plays by 2018-2019 Rogue Lab playwrights Lisa Sanaye Dring, Eric Fagundes, John Guerra, Mildred Inez Lewis, Chelsea Sutton, and Jennie Webb, and a special new play presentation by writing team Taylor Coffman and Z. Lupetin.
