For the final show of its acclaimed 2022-2023 PNC Bank season, City Springs Theatre Company (CSTC) will bring Tony Award-recipient Baayork Lee back to Atlanta to helm the renowned Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, CATS. Ms. Lee directs and choreographs the production, running May 5-21, 2023, in the Byers Theatre at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center.

Virginia Repertory Theatre announces the opening of The Wiz on Friday, June 21, 2019 at the November Theatre/Arenstein Stage, 114 West Broad Street. The show will run through Sunday, August 4, 2019.

Next month, Broadway is coming to Los Angeles with the new 'Broadway Artist Lab' created by Rick Edinger, Andrew Burrill, and Kate Rancka. On Saturday April 27th, 2019, the 3rd Annual NJ Junior Theater Celebration is set to take place at Harrington Middle School in Mt. Laurel, NJ at 9am in the school's auditorium. Based on a program designed and created by iTheatrics, a leading musical theater education company based in NYC, the Celebration brings together high schools, middle schools, elementary schools, and community organizations from all over the region to perform selections from their musicals for adjudication, attend workshops, and celebrate their artistic accomplishments. Leading the workshops and adjudication will be the team from iTheatrics, who also lead similar Celebrations in both Charlotte, NC and Buffalo, NY.

Winchester, Virginia's very own Shenandoah Conservatory's production of Guys and Dolls runs this weekend only, from Friday, February 24th through Sunday, February 27th in the Ohrstrom-Bryant Theatre on the campus of Shenandoah University. The boisterous and witty musical is led by Carolyn Coulson (Director), with Rick Edinger (Music Direction), and Jacob Brent (Choreography). I was lucky enough to sit down with four of the show's leading guys and dolls: Taylor Bloom (Sky Masterson), Adia J Seckel (Sarah Brown), Stevie Bovo (Nathan Detroit), and Freya Falkenstein (Miss Adelaide) and hear about their personal experiences working on the Shenandoah production.
