Stars in the House for Ukraine, an 11+ Hour telethon of the weekly streaming show, raised $139,000 for the International Rescue Committee's humanitarian efforts for those affected by the war in Ukraine. That total is inclusive of a generous matching donation by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, which matched the first $50,000 worth of donations.
New Muppets to the Rescue of Child Refugees in the Middle East

Sesame Street is bringing a new gang of Muppets to the Middle East. The creators of the legendary children's show and the International Rescue Committee have joined forces to address the needs of child refugees in the region. Lesley Stahl traveled to Jordan to see the Arabic-language show as it was being filmed, and to meet Syrian refugee families whose young children are the focus of IRC services. Stahl visited refugee camps, as well as families living in tents on the side of the road, to see the needs of the youngest refugees firsthand. Stahl's report will be broadcast on the next edition of 60 MINUTES Sunday, Nov. 17 (7:30-8:30 PM ET/7:00-8:00 PM PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The Public Theater and International Rescue Committee announced additional casting today for the special free one-night-only Public Forum event, WELCOME HOME: A CELEBRATION OF WORLD REFUGEE DAY on Monday, June 20 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Free Public Forum tickets will be distributed, two per person (age 5+), at the Delacorte Theater beginning at 12:00 p.m. on the day of the Forum.
