BIO
DAN TRUMAN grew up in a small town in Connecticut, where he drank root beer and savored the smell of old comic books in between walks in the woods as leaves crunched under his feet. He studied at Boston University, The Royal Court Theatre, NYU's TISCH SCHOOL OF THE ARTS including Circle In The Square Theatre School and the Meisner Extension. Among his favorite credits are Peter Lorre in Jeff Tabnick's SOMETHING TRULY MONSTROUS, and Owl Man in Jake Oliver's VIVA LOS BASTARDITOS!. He has also been seen on 30 Rock, Boardwalk Empire, The Americans, Amazon's SEA OAK directed by Hiro Murai, and starring Glenn Close and Jack Quaid, and the mockumentary film TOM & FRANICE with Annie Golden.
He plays people with a different point of view, playing by a different set of rules, sometimes vulnerable, often enthusiastic about the wrong things. He's played a lot of things, but where he can best contribute to your team is playing someone struggling or wrestling with an ethical or moral dilemma – as embodied in MICHAEL CLAYTON – Tom Wilkinson, THE WOODSMAN – Kevin Bacon, and HOUSE OF CARDS – Corey Stoll. He can’t wait to add some real character to your next project.
