BIO
Abbey is a New York based performer originally from Cedar Rapids, IA. Most recently Abbey had the pleasure of assisting choreographer Tyler Hanes in Kristin Chenoweth's For the Girls on Broadway. Other Assistant Director/Choreographer credits include The Music Man for UIA Presents as well as UIA's My Fair Lady starring Peter Scolari and Susan Derry. Performance credits include a five-year residency with the Barter Theatre, West Side Story (Barrington Stage Company), Promises, Promises (Stages St. Louis), Mack & Mabel (Surflight), Hairspray (Little Theatre on the Square). Abbey has also traveled the world with Stiletto Entertainment for Holland America Cruise Line, and holds a BFA from Millikin University.

ALMA NYC, a NYC nonprofit dance company, announced a pair of performances on January 18th 2020 at the Ailey Citigroup Theater of their new production, 'Yellow'. Yellow is a 70 minute dance performance with animation set to the music of multi-instrumentalist Cosmo Sheldrake and was developed and choreographed by ALMA NYC's Founding Artistic Director, Zanza Steinberg. This dynamic performance explores connection, resilience, and universal fragility, through stylized storytelling movement. Music from the evening is derived from the sounds of both endangered and thriving ecosystems.

The streets of Pittsfield, (more precisely Barrington Stage Co's Boyd Quinson Mainstage on Union Street) became the streets of 1957 New York City as one of the greatest Broadway Shows of all times, West Side Store had it's opening night performance. Nowadays you don't have gangs fighting on Pittsfield streets but you do have theater goers fighting to get into the many productions of Barrington Stage Co. and the sold out season at Mr. (Bill) Finn's Cabaret.
