Under the baton of Tony Award-winning Artistic Director Ted Sperling, guest artists Mikaela Bennett, 10-time GRAMMY Award-winning gospel group Take 6, and the Northwell Health Nurse Choir join the MasterVoices Chorus with new arrangements of holiday classics, a few forgotten gems, and selections from multiple traditions. More than a holiday concert, it's a welcome back to live performance and an offer of thanks to all whove kept New York City going during the pandemic hiatus. The evenings uplifting program was tailor-made for the moment and for the special talents of the artists at hand from a full version of Leonard Bernsteins jazzy Chichester Psalms to a cappella classics, gospel arrangements of traditional favorites, and live reprises of last years digital sensations Migratory V and Alleluia, which have received over 85,000 views to date.
