'Sonnets and The Self'
A fusion of BeBop jazz standards and Shakespearean sonnets.
A solo performance by 'Carlotta-B-from-1593' - clownish chanteuse & expert on Elizabethan nonsense syllables.
Sonnets are for big feelings; Carlotta will use the Sonnet to expound on the higher virtues in life - such as jealousy, greed, sleep and death. Then she will tackle the tangled web of life’s intriguing mysteries - such as beauty, love and loss. Shakespearean Cabaret invites you into a world of Elizabethan Bebop unlike anything you've ever heard before. Featuring original music by Isaac Raz at Whole Music LLC and direction by Miriam Grill
