Lia Romeo

Lia Romeo is a recent graduate of the Juilliard playwriting program. In 2025, she was nominated for the Outer Critics’ Circle award for Best New American Play. Her plays have been developed at the O’Neill, La Jolla Playhouse, the Lark, and elsewhere, and produced at Colt Coeur, Dorset Theatre Festival, NJ Rep, Mile Square Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe, and many others. Her plays are published by DPS, TRW, and Broadway Play Publishing. She is the associate artistic director of Project Y Theatre and the co-founder of the Parent-Caregiver Playwrights Group. She is also the author of two books, Dating the Devil (BelleBooks) and 11,002 Things to Be Miserable About (Abrams Image), and her essays have been published in The Washington Post, Newsweek, and other national publications. She teaches in the graduate creative writing program at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Katie Birenboim

Katie is a NYC-based director. Boomerang debut. She recently directed (and produced) the critically acclaimed world premiere of Forrest Malloy's Nina (also at Theaterlab) and the regional premiere of Mario Correa's N/A at Barrington Stage; also The Secret Garden in concert (Berkshire Theatre Group) and the Festival of New Jewish Plays. Jack Breene

Jack is delighted to be making his theater debut after a decade working in the New York film/tv scene. After getting his start as a set dresser and prop assistant on network television shows like Daredevil and The Equalizer, Jack has been working as a Property Master on tier union features, including The Home (2025) and Back to Black (2024). He earned a BFA in Film/Television from NYU with a concentration in Production Design.

Ogemdi Ude

Ogemdi is a dance and theater artist based in Brooklyn. Her performance work focuses on Black femme legacies and futures, grief, and memory. Her work has been presented at Kampnagel, The Kitchen, Gibney, Harlem Stage, Danspace Project, Abrons Arts Center, BRIC, ISSUE Project Room, Recess Art, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Center for Performance Research, and for BAM's DanceAfrica festival. She is a 2025 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellow in Choreography, 2025 Princess Grace Honoraria in Choreography, 2025-2028 Jerome Hill Artist Fellow, 2024 NEFA National Dance Project Production Grant recipient, and a Live Feed Residency Artist at New York Live Arts. In January 2022 she appeared on the cover of Dance Magazine for their annual “25 to Watch” issue.

Jackson Berkley is a freelance production carpenter and props artisan. He has designed and fabricated props for theatrical productions, including Becoming Eve, The Last Bimbo of the Apocalypse, The Great Privation, Strategic Love Play, Dungeons & Dragons: The Twenty-Sided Tavern, The Hip Hop Nutcracker, and Titanique, and has constructed sets for clients including LinkedIn, Bravo TV, Adidas, Barstool Sports, MSG Networks, Fiverr, and others.

Tim founded Boomerang Theatre Company in 1999 with the mission of revolutionizing the theatre producing models of off-off-Broadway. In his 26 years leading the company, he has produced over 60 plays and musicals, as well as readings of over 100 works in development. Tim's focus now is on fundraising, audience development, marketing and artist support. In addition to Boomerang, Tim has been on staff at Lincoln Center Theater and New Dramatists. Hal was a Co-Producer for Lia Romeo’s 2025 award winning Off-Broadway production of Still with Melissa Gilbert and Mark Moses at The Sheen Center. Hal is a Master Class Graduate of the Theatre Resources Unlimited (TRU) Producer Development & Mentorship Program (PDMP) and an active participant in the Commercial Theater Institute (CTI) seminar program, a joint program of The Broadway League and the Theatre Development Fund (TDF). Hal is thrilled to be the Lead Creative Producer of McCourt!

Susan Tenney

Susan is an award-winning director and choreographer whose work spans decades in the arenas of theater, dance-theater, cabaret, concert-dance, and film. She is thrilled to be developing and directing McCourt!, adapted from Frank McCourt’s bestselling memoirs ‘Tis and Teacher Man, sequels to Pulitzer Prize winner Angela’s Ashes.
