Lovers: An Original Horror Story at The People’s Improv Theatre

Arlecia Stapleton is a Chicago based classically trained vocalist and actress. As a graduate from DePaul University with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, she specializes in many vocal styles including opera, musical theater, jazz, and R&B. She recently curated and performed a self-titled recital, Black Opera In White, for the opening of the new Elijah Muhammad House Museum in Chicago. This spring, Ms. Ebert also made her New York City debut in the role of Tasha in Bronzeville: The Musical. She is currently cast in the role of Simone in Blk Out Theatre's Production of Lovers.

Brian spent the last 4 years creating solo and collective work in the Chicago poetry/spoken word scene, featuring as an artist on platforms and venues such as: Luya Poetry, Grandma's House, IO Theatre, Bug House Theater, Dorothy's etc. As recently as 2023, they staged a reading of the play Sun from Grey to a sold out audience at the Joinery, which they wrote, directed, and acted in. They're elated to be cast as Caanan in the BlkOut Theatre project’s original work "Lovers".

Joshalynn Gibson (She/Her) is a Chicago based actor. She graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a BA in Theater performance May of 2024. Recently, she could been see in On The Spot Theater's production of the Cuckoo Clock, and Feedtheatmachines production Phedra. She would like to than BlkOut Theatre Project for the opportunity to be a part of Lovers

Jordan is a multi-medium creative based ' in Chicago. You can find her featured in several short films with Chicago Fillm Makers Mixtape, singing at local open mics, or breathing life to silly characters at Second CIty. She graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a BA in Musical Theater and will use any opportunity to fit a show-tune into any conversation. She is excited to step into the role of Jada and to work with BlkOut Theatre and such a stellar cast.
