It Just Takes Time at The Tank

It Just Takes Time, a new song cycle by Annika Hoseth, is set to make its East Coast debut at The Tank through LimeFest on August 23rd at 3pm.

A college student, a restaurant owner, a shelter puppy, an engaged couple, a kindergarten teacher, and a pop star - what do they have in common? Not much, until COVID-19 forces them to forgo their plans and figure out a new normal. It Just Takes Time is a contemporary song cycle that weaves together songs exploring anxiety, loneliness, impatience, and unexpected connection during the COVID19 lockdown. Though the future is unknown, each character learns to lean on their loved ones and appreciate the "little wins."

Annika Hoseth, the writer of the book, lyrics, and music, is known for musicals such as You're the Sh*t!, Kittens, (Hollywood Fringe, Best Musicals Nominee), and The Unofficial 'Meet the Robinsons' Musical Parody, (Hollywood Fringe, Best Musicals Nominee and winner of StageSceneLA Best Musical Spoof.) Her songs have been performed at venues such as The Green Room 42 and The Catalina Jazz Club, and her writing has been published in journals such as Mini Plays Review: An International Journal of Short Plays and Monologues. The cast of It Just Takes Time features Regina Famatigan, Roei Cohen, Emy Ramos, Allison Calabrese and Annika Hoseth with music direction and accompaniment by Joseph Ivan and creative consulting from Rosie Corr.

The performance will be at the Tank on Sunday, August 23rd 3-4pm.
