The Gallery Players in Park Slope is seeking submissions for its upcoming non-equity Black Box New Play Festival which runs from January 15th-25th. Seeking: JAY: 29, introverted, has psychological scars from a harrowing event GRAHAM: 29, spirited, flippant, barely holds his self-destructive tendencies at bay DEREK: 29, tech consultant turned local politician ADRIAN: 29, firefighter, daredevil whose easygoing demeanor hides a deep insecurity The festival takes place over two weekends. The performances for the first weekend are January 15th-18th. Tech for that weekend starts on Sunday, January 11th and continues on the following Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the evenings. The second weekend performs January 22nd-25th. Tech starts on Sunday evening, January 18th and continues on the following Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Each director will see actor submissions and will contact actors for callbacks. It may be that several directors will want to see you. Callbacks will be held on Sunday, November 9th during the day except for The Waterfall Scene which will be held on Sunday, November 2nd. There is a one-time stipend of $50. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Please email a taped one-minute monologue (either comic or dramatic) to: dominic@galleryplayers.com Include a resume and a headshot. Submissions must be received by 11.59PM on Monday, October 27th.
